  3. Why Jesus Died • Fix our sin problem • propitiate: He took our punishment for us 1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

  4. Why Jesus Died • Fix our sin problem • redeem: He set us free from sin’s penalty Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
