GRADING: • USE THE SEMESTER GRADING SYSTEM • WE USE THE 40-40-20 RULE 1ST 9 WEEKS IS 40% OF THE SEMESTER GRADE 2ND 9 WEEKS IS 40% OF THE SEMESTER GRADE EXAM IS 20% OF THE SEMESTER GRADE • A STUDENT WILL EARN A .5 CREDIT AT THE END OF THE 1ST SEMESTER AND ANOTHER .5 CREDIT AT THE END OF THE 2ND SEMESTER • THIS WILL HELP FRESHMEN STAY ON TRACK
BHS GRADING • State Grading Scale 93-100 = A 85-92 = B 75-84 = C 67-74 = D 0-66 = F STUDENTS GRADES PRIMARILY COME FROM ASSESSMENTS THAT REFLECT MASTERY OF THE CONTENT
End of Course Testing • Graduation Requirements: • Students must score a Fair or Above on the following EOC TESTS • Algebra I or Geometry • English II or English III • Biology or U.S. History • 8TH Grade Alg. I students will take the Algebra I EOC Exam on May 12th
End of Course Testing • Computer-based Test • 4 Achievement Levels • Excellent, Good, Fair, Needs Improvement • In our SPS we get points for Excellent & Good • Counts as the Final Exam Grade
