  4. In Michigan: Leadership The Michigan Action Coalition (MAC) has chosen to focus our efforts on the leadership and intraprofessional collaboration recommendations.

  5. What we are doing in Michigan • Recognize new and aspiring leaders (INE) • Partners Investing in Nursing (PIN) grant recipient for Leadership (2011-2012) • Partnership with Michigan Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) and Institute of Professional Nurses (IPN)

  6. What Needs to be Done • Campaign to increase awareness of the role nurses can play in leading change in health care • Providing nurses with the skills to be in leadership roles/positions
