  2. NRCS- Natural Resources Conservation Service (NCRS)helps to restore, Protect and enhance wetlands. • NRCS offers financial and technical assistance to help agricultural producers make and maintain conservation improvements on their land. • EQIP(Environmental Quality Incentives Program): • EQIP provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers in order to address natural resource concerns and deliver environmental benefits • Benefits- improved water and air quality, conserved ground and surface water, reduced soil erosion and sedimentation or improved or created wildlife habitat. • Groundwater-is the water located beneath the earth's surface in soil pore spaces and in the fractures of rock formations. • Surface water-is water on the surface of the planet such as in a stream, river, lake, wetland, or ocean. Financial Assistance- EQIP

  3. The Conservation Stewardship Program- helps agricultural producers maintain and improve their existing conservation systems and adopt additional conservation activities to address priority resources concerns • http://www.farmandranchguide.com/news/regional/conservation-stewardship-program-deadline-approaches/article_b131f18e-33b0-11e4-be56-001a4bcf887a.html Financial Assistance- CSP

  4. Agricultural Management Assistance Program- helps agricultural producers use conservation to manage risk and solve natural resource issues through natural resources conservation • Benefits: Producers receive conservation technical and financial assistance to construct or improve water management or irrigation structures, plant trees for windbreaks or, in order to improve water quality and mitigate risk, diversify their operation and conservation practices including soil erosion control, integrated pest management or transition to organic farming.. Organic Farming-is a form of agriculture that relies on techniques such as crop rotation, green manure, compost, and biological pest control. Financial Assistance- AMA

  5. The Agricultural Conservation gives money and technical assistance to help Indian tribes, State and local governments, and non-governmental organizations to protect agricultural lands, and limit the non-agricultural uses of the land. There are areas that are protected tribal lands so they give money to the tribes to help preserve the land. EasementsACEP

  6. The Healthy Forests Reserve Program teams up with homeowners to restore, enhance, and protect forestland resources on their private property by giving money to the land owners. This also lets the landowners promote recovery of endangered species and improving plant and animal biodiversity. EasementsHFRP

  7. The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) promotes coordination with its partners to increase conservation with landowners and producers. • They work with 4 conservation programs. They go to help and educate producers and landowners on conservation. • Agricultural Water Enhancement Program (AWEP) • Chesapeake Bay Watershed Program (CBWP) • Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI) • Great Lakes Basin Program (GLBP) Partnerships
