  2. Job description A zookeeper is a person who takes care of animals that are at that zoo. You will have to show your love and affection for the animals. If the animal is to little or sick to eat, you will more than likely have to bottle feed it.Zookeepers take care of wild animals in zoos and animal parks. They feed the animals, clean their living spaces, and work to keep them healthy.

  3. Training and education • Educational does not matter a lot for zoo keeper job as it is a job where behavior is the sole thing that matters. Being a zookeeper means commitment to your animals, to the Zoo, and to public education.

  4. Job outlook • If you have the patience I believe this job would be great. You have to show a lot of care and love to your animals in the zoo. It would be a really hard job. You would have to work long hours and you will have to clean a lot of cages.

  5. Salary • The salary of a zookeeper varies in the range of $1000 to $3000, on a monthly basis. A zookeepers yearly wage is, $21,550.

  6. Qualifications • The only thing a zookeeper really needs to know is the animals, what they eat, and where they are located. You will have to have a drivers license, you would be surprised how much you will be driving.

  7. Work environment • Zookeepers will work in any type of weather; rain, sleet, hail, snow, ice, and in a heat wave. A zookeeper is able to work any time of the day. They just have to know what they are doing.
