  2. Fill in the “keys” on your worksheet using the real keyboard as a guide.

Keyboarding Rules • Keep your hands on home row and use the right fingers! • Only look at your hands when needed • Keep your hands on home row and use all your fingers. • Try to memorize the keys so you don’t have to look at all! • Accuracy is more important than speed! • Practice! Practice! Practice!

  5. Turn knob to adjust volume Plug in headphones here Double-click this icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Make sure MUTE is not checked anywhere and all the volume levels are up. Don’t hear anything? Let’s check your volume settings. VOLUME

  6. To start the keyboarding program, double-click the JumpStart Typing icon. Enter your first name and as much of your last name as you can. DO NOT CLICK ENTER Click “Enter” to start

  7. Listen to the introduction and directions. Click the Power Card Key when it appears!

  8. Keyboarding Lessons Full power bar? Time for games!
