Learning Targets: • I can use proper MLA format for my essay by setting up Times New Roman Font, size 12, double spacing with “no extra space between paragraphs,” and inserting a heading with my last name and page number on the 2nd page, and every page thereafter. • I can delete works I did not quote or paraphrase from my Works Consulted, and rename it Works Cited. • I can create a hanging indent and alphabetize my Works Cited. • I can make my Works Cited the last page of my research paper. • I can use 3rd person words to establish and maintain a formal style and objective tone in my academic research paper.

  3. MLA Essay Format • Times New Roman Font, size 12 • Double space with no extra space between paragraphs • Insert a heading with your last name and page number on the 2nd page, and every page thereafter.

  4. Creating your “Works Cited” Sheet • Log into EasyBib • Start at the Bibliography page in EasyBib (the list with all your sources) • Click on “Export/Share” (this is an orange button at the top/right of their source list) •  Choose “Print as Word doc” (first option) • EasyBib will walk you through the next few steps: • Click “Download for MS Word” (an orange button and the only option) • Choose “open” • Click “save” when you’re done to save it all. And that’s it! This entire process should take only a few minutes.
