How Do the Malicious Codes Work? Malicious codes can infiltrate a PC in forms of: Java Applets ActiveX Controls Scripting languages Browser plug-ins Pushed Content (It can also come in with files downloaded, website visited, pop-ups, etc.) Once a malicious code is inside a network or PC, it can enter network drives and propagate. It can also cause network and mail server overload by sending email messages, stealing data and passwords, deleting or damaging document files, email files or passwords, and even re-formatting hard drives.
