Overview of EU-ACP Trade Relations: Key Facts and Agreements

This report provides an in-depth overview of trade relations between the European Union (EU) and African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) countries. With a combined population of 736.3 million and a GDP of €472 billion, EU-ACP trade reached €86.5 billion, accounting for 4.3% of EU trade and 29.7% of ACP trade. Established through the Treaty of Rome and strengthened by agreements such as the Yaoundé Convention, Lomé Conventions, and the Cotonou Agreement, this relationship aims to enhance cooperation and address challenges in the regions, including agricultural trade and Economic Partnership Agreements.
