  2. THE PROJECT It is a part of training and recreational activities for seniors, funded by the City Council and organized by INEA, Valladolid.

  3. Time for everything It pretends to be an option for recreation, leisure, human relationships, work, relationship with the nature and learning of the elderly people who meet the requirements for access to these gardens.

  4. Ecological Gardens The training activity is a part of what is now called University of Experience. From one hand is offered to the older people an opportunity of learning and training through the study, lectures, reading and manual works From other hand is expected from their experience and wisdom gained over the years, contributions to enrich both the individuals and the society. 1 2

  5. The following means are set in order to achieve these ambitious goals: 1.- Each person will receive in the campaign of the project activity a small garden of about 120-150 square meters, where could develop a productive activity.

  6. 2.- Training opportunities will be offered, such as lectures, classes, conferences, where all can document and illustrate the techniques of ecological farming, irrigation, water management and soil, etc. 3.- Will be established a schedule of access to the Library of INEA for the participating seniors. 4.- There will be an information table at the entrance to the gardens with proper warnings and notices of the activity, such as pests, indicated remedies, growing tips, etc. Two technicians will cover the operating hours for advice and assistance to the users.

  7. RULES FOR USE OF THE GARDENS • You cannot set multi-annual crops. Do not make investments that cannot be removed when leaving the gardens (installation of irrigation, etc). The cultivation practices should be ecological, under the guidance of technicians. • The opening and closing times must be respected strictly. • Do not leave organic or inorganic waste outside designated sites for them. • The gardens are drawn by the City; You can not buy or sell the products harvested in the gardens inside or outside the premises. • The award of the gardens is not transferable and only the contractor is responsible for its plot. This does not preclude that a garden can be cared for by several persons jointly. • The abandonment of the garden over a month will be cause for cancellation of the award.

  8. RULES ON ACCESS TO PROPERTY INEA The users may only access to cultivate their ecological gardens. They do not have any right to be in other areas of the property, use of buildings, facilities, etc. In the exercise of good hospitality and provided that there is no type of abuse or bother to other activities, they are allowed to walk, play, park vehicles, to use the cafe, etc. It is absolutely necessary to respect the property, both real estate and furniture (buildings, crops, gardens, etc…).

  9. RIGHTS AND DUTIES • This project is launched by an agreement of the City Hall of Valladolid and INEA • Users access to it by lot, which is accessed by fulfilling the conditions set by the Town Council • Gardens receive the use of precarious, does not create any right more than farming it during the months that lasts the Project • Entering the project, each one signs a document that collects all this information and delivers to the users a card and a key of his trunk. The key should be returned at the end.
