  1. Resolve to Leave a Legacy

  2. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

  3. I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

  4. The Challenge • Chain Breaker • Prayer Warrior • Justice Fighter • Spiritual Mentor

  5. My Legacy

  6. A Divine Order For Fathers • Faithful follower of Christ • Faithful husband • Faithful father • Strong spiritual leader

  7. Set Up For Success Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, (Ephesians 1:3)

  8. Set Up For Success Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:2-3)

  9. Set Up For Success Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lordis my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

  10. Resolve to Finish Strong • Sincerity is not enough • Peter was sincere Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples. (Matthew 26:35)

  11. Fulfilling the Resolution Long-Term • Matthew 5:3 • Spiritual Poverty • Jesus modeled the secret to long-term victory

  12. Philippians 2:5-10 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

  13. The Resolution Journey • Taking back the Steering Wheel • Trusting God – Abraham • Abandonment –“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. (Luke 14:26)

  14. The Resolution Journey • Surrender to His Lordship – He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)

  15. Seven Reasons • He already owns you - Psalm 139:13; 1 Corinthians 6:20 • You owe Him a debt of love - John 15:13 • You can't handle life on your own - Isaiah 53:6 • He can make you happier than you can make yourself - Psalm 37:4

  16. Seven Reasons • He has your entire life planned out - Jeremiah 29:11 • You will be judged by Him one day - Romans 14:10-12 • He deserves you - Revelation 5:9

  17. Courageous Challenge Make a commitment to attend church a small Bible study group every week for the next month.

  18. Memory Verse Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created. (Revelation 4:11)

  19. Discussion Question • What kind of legacy do I want to leave? • What do I want people to say about me at my funeral? • What would my family and close friends say about me right now?
