  8. Strengths of AP PCPIR GAS RESERVES AP PCPIR abuts Krishna Godavari Basin (KG Basin), highest gas reserves in India. Reliance Industries and ONGC already supplying gas (85 MMSCMD) from KG Basin. Gas distribution network being developed for supplying gas to PCPIR units. PORTS : Visakhapatnam Port - India's largest cargo handling port (65MMTPA) Gangavaram Port - India's deepest port (21 m draft ),automated handling. Present capacity 35MMTPA, and ultimate capacity 200 MMTPA Kakinada Deep Water Port - 4 berths with 12 MMTPA handling capacity having 13 mt draft Two more ports planned in the region A captive port at Kakinada cluster by GMR group proposed LAND: Large extent of land acquired and infrastructure provided. About 8417 Hec of land available for allotment out of the total 12127 hec of land acquired WATER: Reliable Water Supply 10 TMC (776 MLD) from river Godavari & Yeleru. Project @ a cost of INR 500 crs completed. POWER: A.P has 14,086 MW Installed capacity Adding another 10,000 MW in next 3 years.

NH connectivity • GoI approved in principle 4-laning of the following • 3 roads under CRF (EI scheme) • Land acquisition for widening to be done by AP GOVT. • Cost of Land acquisition Rs. 52.00 Crores • Land acquisition initiated by APIIC on behalf of R&B Dept. • The above roads, once 4-laned, would provide excellent connectivity to the Industrial clusters in PCPIR • NH Widening • RFQ being issued for 6-laning of NH-5 (Visakhapatnam to Rajahmundry) • Proposals for 4-laning of NH-214( Kathipudi to Kakinada) being followed up with Govt. of India.

PCPIR EXPRESSWAY • PCPIR expressway from Visakhaptnam Port / Gangavaram Port to Kakinada planned – 138km - A dedicated road for speedy movement of PCPIR cargo • Proposed to be taken up in two phases under PPP mode (BOOT Basis). • PHASE – I:Visakhapatnam port / Gangavaram port to APSEZ (35 KM) • Cost : Rs. 220.30 Cr • APIIC/GoAP in association with INCAP, IFC and Halcrow consulting Engineers has taken up the study of this project. • Alignment finalized • Part of the alignment in the final reaches passes through Steel Plant Land • Certain Land related issues to be finalized with RINL (Vizag Steel Plant) • Bids to be invited, after the alignment clearance • PHASE – II: APSEZ, Atchuthapuram to Kakinada(103 KM) • IFC has commissioned M/S. Ayesa (Spain) & Feed back Infra for conducting the feasibility studies. • Inception report & Alignment options note submitted by the consultant • Alignment option to be finalize in meeting with all the stake holders • APIIC has initiated land acquisition for Phase-I

RAIL LINK TO APSEZ • APIIC engaged RITES as consultants for studying the feasibility and detailed project report for rail link APSEZ • It is proposed to take the consent of NTPC for branching off their Railway siding at Desapatrunipalem. • Land Acquisition to be initiated after in principle approval of NTPC • Plans are afoot to create a logistics hub in APSEZ.

Water Visakhapatnam Industrial Water Supply Company Ltd (VIWSCO) • Dedicated industrial water supply project from Yeleru Canal and River Godavari as source - Rs. 500 Crores - Capacity 10 TMC • Operational since Dec 2004 Raw Water Sources • 153 km Yeleru Left Main Canal from Yeleru Reservoir - 385 MLD (5TMC) • 56 km Pipeline from River Godavari - 385 MLD (5 TMC) • Proposed augmentation through Polavaram Left Main Canal from River Godavari under execution: 1848 MLD (24 TMC) • For Kakinada area - Samalkota Canal from Godavari - 220 MLD (3 TMC)

  22. Waste Management Waste management facilities available at JN Pharma City Treatment, Storage & Disposal Facility (TSDF) for hazardous waste: Secured landfill-10 lakh Tonnes capacity. Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) of 4.5 MLD capacity for treatment of effluents-To be expanded to 9 MLD. 36 TPD capacity incinerator for organic waste Existing Marine Outfall at Pharma City (16 km), similar marine outfalls proposed for other SEZs / industrial parks CETP at Pharma City CETP at Pharma City Effluent Conveyance TSDF at Pharma City Contd……

Waste Management facilities at Brandix SEZ • A 22 MLD capacity CETP of Brandix India Apparel City is operational • Marine Outfall 2 x 560 mm dia pipe line commissioned for Brandix India Apparel Waste Management facilities at APSEZ, Atchuthapuram • 3 CETP’s for a total capacity of 31 MLD & 1 STP with a capacity of 9 MLD planned at APSEZ, Atchuthapuram • Separate Marine Outfall facility for APSEZ planned
