In Mrs. Buchheim's Language Arts class, students are assigned nightly homework focused on reading, note-taking, and writing to enhance their linguistic abilities. Students are expected to read silently for 20-30 minutes each night, including weekends. All essays must follow MLA format, include multiple drafts, and be graded with a rubric covering various genres such as literature response and persuasive writing. Keep in mind the AR reading goals for each trimester. Late work is penalized, and supplies are encouraged for a collaborative classroom environment.
