The Chimpanzee: A Primate at Risk of Extinction
The chimpanzee, a highly intelligent primate, is facing the threat of extinction due to habitat loss and other challenges. Living in groups of ten to twelve, these social animals exhibit remarkable mimicry skills and possess the ability to use tools. Their diet primarily consists of fruits, leaves, and insects. Native to Western Africa, chimpanzees build cozy nests in trees to rest and sleep. Conservation efforts are urgently needed to protect their populations and natural habitats.
