Conclusions ROAD – RAIL – URBAN TRANSPORT • UNECE Road Transport Agreements are vital to countries -Facilitate international transport and border crossing - Provide for efficiency, harmonize and improve standards - Provide market access, integration, inclusion in globalization - Provide for road safety and environmental performance - Basic tools for common pan-European and Euro-Asian transport space - Unique models for developing national legislation • Palestine will benefit from - Using experiences of other countries - Studying international agreements and - Using them as models for developing national legislation • An awareness raising workshop on UNECE Main Road Transport Agreements may prove very useful and is highly recommended EuroMed RRU Transport Project Symposium on TransportRamallah, 13-14 February 2013
