  2. What is a Teaser Trailer? A teaser trailer is a truncated version of a theatrical trailer intended to entice the audience about an upcoming movie and to begin hype usually on major films, but also for other media forms. It is all included in the advertising of the film.

  3. What are the Characteristics of a Teaser Trailer? • It is easy to see why some may not understand the difference between a teaser trailer and a movie trailer, nonetheless there are numerous features which allow one to identify the difference. • Teaser trailers: • usually last between 30-60 seconds in length • contain little, if any footage of the actual film – they are often made while the film is still in production, scenes which are edited out for the actual film are sometimes included into the teaser trailer • it is only some production companies such as Pixar who create completely new footage for their teaser trailers • usually only for big-budgeted films • nowadays mostly focused on being streamed online • it does not give away exact dates of release for the film

  4. How is a Teaser Trailer Different from a Movie Trailer? • Movie trailers, also known as theatrical trailers: • are longer than teaser trailers and allow the audience to find out more about the plot of the storyline within the film • realising the exact dates that the film will be out – rather than just saying “this summer” for example, as this is what happens in teaser trailers • they can last up to 4 or 5 minutes in some cases

  5. My Favourite Teaser Trailer Due to the fact that I have so many favourite trailers, I decided to go with one of those which I have watched the film of most recently. Below is the link to the teaser trailer of 21 Jump Street http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-quFJmB1kc
