GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 28 Credits Required for Graduation at MCHS • ENGLISH 4 credits (one per year) • MATH 4 credits (one per year) • SCIENCE 3 credits • SOCIAL STUDIES 3 credits • FOREIGN LANGUAGE 2 credits (same language) • FINE ARTS 1 credit • ELECTIVE FOCUS 3 credits • LIFETIME WELLNESS 1 credit • PERSONAL FINANCE/PE ½ credit each • Students who elect not to go to college may waive Foreign Language and Fine Arts requirements. • Instead, they will have to take 3 additional requirements to expand and enhance their Elective Focus.

GREEN REGISTRATION FORM • Make sure that you have filled out the top part of this sheet with a PENCIL. • You must indicate whether your child plans on attending college OR has decided that he/she does want to take courses to enhance the Elective Focus. This is near the bottom of the page. • If your child wishes to enroll in the Honors Program, you will need to check that box.

  5. GREEN REGISTRATION FORM • The student will need to sign this form . • The parent will also need to sign the form and then date it.

  6. Health/PE • Every student will take Lifetime Wellness. • This has already been printed on your green Student Registration Form as Wellness.

  7. ENGLISH • Every student will enroll in an Englishclass. • Select one of the courses below and, if necessary, add the extra letter or number to the code that is already printed on the form : • English I 3001 • English I—Honors 3001H • English—ELL 3001E • English—SPED 30015

  8. MATH • Select at least one of the Math courses below and, if necessary, add the extra letter or number to the code that is already printed on the form : • Algebra I 3102 • Algebra I—Honors 3102H • Algebra 1-A (SPED) 31025 • Algebra IA (elective credit only) 31023 • Algebra IB 31024 • If you are taking Algebra IA, write this in Semester 1 block along with Algebra IB in the Semester 2 block.

SCIENCE • Select at least one of the Science courses below and, if necessary, add the extra letter or number to the code that is already printed on the form : • Students who DO NOT plan to go to college need to take • Physical Science 3202 • Students who DO plan to go to college need to take • Physical World Concepts 3237 • Physical World Concepts—Honors 3237H

  11. SPORTS • If you plan on playing sports, you will need to write the name(s) of the sport(s) as your 1st Alternate Elective. The coaches will give us a list of players after tryouts, and then we will actually enroll you in that sport. • If sports are placed after school, then whatever electives you choose will most likely be the classes for which you will be scheduled.

  12. FOCUSED ELECTIVE • Every student must choose a “Focused Elective” course. • Write the name of the Focused Elective course and the course code.
