  1. FAR DETECTOR: • FD live time was 95.7% for cosmics last week (ROP7 problems reported at last week's meeting spilled downtime into this week's report). • Dynode threshold calibration also contributed to downtime. • All rack filter maintenance completed. • NEAR DETECTOR: • PMT replaced, light leak tracked down and taped up. • PMT expert is here this week to help track down the last subtle issues before beam arrives. • NuMI Horn 1 Replacement Status: • Horn 1 is all hooked up and ready to run. • Last week Thursday, performed the horn alignment beam scan.

  2. BPM x 334.2 BPM y 334.4 Profile 334.9 Toroid 346.6 • Sweep proton beam across horns. • Measure position of proton beam with beam position monitors and secondary emission monitors upstream of the target. • Use measurements to extrapolate the beam position at the location of the horns. 3. Sweap primary proton beam across alignment bars • Target must be out • One on the downstream end of Horn 1 • One on each end of Horn 2 • Also steer beam into horn 1 aperature • Two ion chambers measure particle spray • One downstream of each horn

  5. Schedule for this Week: • Monday: Target module back into chase, hook up z-drive motor cable, hook up water to target, helium lines and electrical, reinstall upstream shielding. • Tuesday: Target module top fiducial survey using laser tracker (am). Advance target into horn LE10 position remotely via ACNET while monitoring position with crane camera. • Wednesday: Install Target T-Blocks and survey plugs. Install R-block installation. Complete air seal/vapor barrier on shielding plug. Start Target Hall clean up. • Thursday: general removal of all equipment, remove workcell hydraulics and secure workcell. Leak check for air leaks on target chase. Search & Secure and run Beam by early evening and align target with proton beam.
