  2. Football’s Origin • Football was a training exercise in the military in 1580, and was played until January 1739 and the people started playing it again in May of 1930.

  3. The Rules • The First set of Football rules were the Cambridge rules and were established in 1848 at the Cambridge University in England and the rules were that you cant touch the ball with your hand except if you caught the ball in midair then you get a free kick.

  4. National Sport • Football is a game that is played in more than 200 countries and there are over 250 million players, but only 60 countries have it as there national sport.

  5. Why Football is popular (Reason 1) • Because you just need to people and a ball and you can have fun playing.

  6. Why Football is popular (Reason 2) • When you are playing the game with your friend it is rarely when you see someone injured unlike some other sports.

  7. Why Football is popular (Reason 3) • It is a very easy and simple game to play with not many rules and the rules are not complicated.

  8. Different Ways of Playing Football • There are different ways to play Football in different parts of the world and here are the different types: Five-a-side Football, Futsal, Rush Goalie, Headers and Volleys…
