The Walkerville Streetscape and Road Redevelopment project incorporates innovative design features aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety and accessibility. Key elements include bulbouts at intersections for shorter crossings, integrated bus stops, and textured pedestrian crosswalks. It focuses on bike lanes and tree growth using Silvacell technology. New street furniture complements existing aesthetics while integrated bollards boost pedestrian safety. Notable designs are implemented at corners of Gladstone, Lincoln, Chilver, and Devonshire, with extended bulbouts providing accommodations for outdoor patios and improving local transit access.
