Walkerville Streetscape and Road Redevelopment: Key Design Features

The Walkerville Streetscape and Road Redevelopment project emphasizes pedestrian safety and accessibility through innovative design features. Key elements include bulbouts at intersections to shorten pedestrian crossings, integrated bus stops, and enhanced pedestrian crosswalks with colored, textured concrete. The design accommodates bike lanes and supports the growth of large trees using Silvacell technology. New street furniture will complement existing styles, and strategically placed bollards will enhance both aesthetics and pedestrian safety.
