  2. Background: Association of oil and gas suppliers SOZVEZDYE was established in 2006 in order to develop local supplier industry. Founders: • Government of the Arkhangelsk region • JSC “PO “Northern Machine-building Enterprise” (JSC “PO “Sevmash”) – Chairman in the Board of Directors • JSC “Ship repairing Centre “Zvezdochka” • Arkhangelsk State Technical University

  3. Maximum possible involvement member-companies in the Shtokman gas-condensate field development project Attraction of international companies to the Arkhangelsk region Main objectives:

  4. Participation of the Arkhangelsk region in the Shtokman project: Geographical proximity of the region to the site

  5. Participation of the region in the Shtokman project: Industrial capacities • mechanical engineering • shipbuilding/ship-repairing • manufacturing of spare parts, modules and materials • construction

  6. Logistics Main activities: • transportation and forwarding • different means of transport • transshipment of cargo • fleet maintenance • dredging operations • rescue operations • other

  7. Participation of the region in the Shtokman project: Education, human resources • higher educational establishments (6) • secondary vocational schools (15) • primary vocational schools (33)

Construction Main activities: • construction and reconstruction of civil and industrial facilities • construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges • all types of surveys • manufacturing of construction materials, concrete and reinforced-concrete structures • piling operations • production of prefabricated houses • other

  9. Shipbuilding and Mechanical engineering Main activities: • ship-building • ship repairing • manufacturing of metal structures • insulation and painting operations • qualified workforce at site (outside the region and the country) • other

International cooperation: • investment attractiveness: list of investment projects and vacant industrial facilities for production • regional Law on Investment Activity • joint ventures and transfer of technologies from international companies will increase our competitiveness and open the way to Shtokman for all the participants
