  13. NCAA Eligibility Center • What the NCAA Eligibility Center IS? • Warehouse which stores athlete’s academic and amateurism information that is accessible to colleges • What the NCAA Eligibility Center is NOT? • Recruiting service • Place to send athletic film, stats, etc.

NCAA ELIGIBILITY • Academic Requirements for Incoming Freshmen in D-I? • To get a scholarship, practice and compete in their first year, incoming freshmen must meet a series of academic requirements, including: • Complete 16HHS Core Courses (HHS CODE-030141) 10 of which must be completed before the beginning of senior year of high school. Of the 10 core courses, 7 must be in English, math or science. (10 Courses locked prior to start of Semester 7, no retake for grade change) • Earn a 2.3 grade-point average in the total 16 core courses. • Meet the Sliding Scale Requirements of GPA and test score (ACT or SAT). • Graduate from high school.

NCAA ELIGIBILITY DIVISION I Core-Course Requirement (16) HHS Core Course List (030141) 4 years of English 3 years of math (Algebra I or higher) 2 years of natural/physical science (1 year of lab if offered) 1 year of additional English, math or natural/physical science 2 years of social science 4 years of additional courses (any area above, foreign language or comparative religion/philosophy) *Most Online Courses do NOT meet NCAA Core Course Requirements

NCAA ELIGIBILITY DIVISION I – 2016 Qualifier Requirements *Athletics aid, practice, and competition •  16 core courses • o Ten (10) core courses completed before the start of seventh semester (Sr. Year.) Seven (7) of the 10 must be in English, math or natural/physical science. •  "Locked in" for core-course GPA calc. by 7th semester. •  Corresponding test score (ACT sum score or SAT combined score) and core-course GPA (minimum 2.300) on Sliding Scale B. •  Graduate from high school.

College Admission Requirements • Athletic eligibility does not guarantee admission. The admission committee — not the college coach — decides whether students are admissible.

NAIA ELIGIBILITY NAIA Eligibility Center NAIA Eligibility Make sure you complete the Big Three to get in the game: • Submit your profile at PlayNAIA.org • Send all required documents to the NAIA Eligibility Center (and make sure they're received) as soon as available after graduation or if qualifying for Early Decision • Secure a spot on your school's Short List • students with a break between high school graduation and enrollment at the NAIA school must be on a Short List before the eligibility review process can begin

NJCAA Eligibility Requirements NJCAA Eligibility Pamphlet A student-athlete must be: • graduate of a high school with a state department of education approved standard academic diploma, or • state department approved general education diploma, or • state department of education approved high school equivalency test.
