WHO? Students from Francis Bradley Middle School in Huntersville, NC Whom are actively involved in the school Whom are actively involved in extracurricular activities, including sports, band, clubs, etc.
WHERE? At School During appropriate class time During gathering times, before and after school. On the way to and from school During extracurricular activities
WHY? To reveal a variety of students in their day-to-day activities and lives while at school along with their interests, relationships, and hobbies To appeal to an audience of youth To appeal to citizens who are looking to view characters similar to themselves and characters they can relate to To appeal to members of the community who would like to feel connected with youth and school systems in America and their community
HOW? This show will seek to portray events in their actual reality by filming without a traditional camera crew. Students will be given cameras to document and capture moments, events and times that reveal their experience Along with the students, teachers and administrators will have cameras too There will also be cameras and microphones placed in communal areas – like the cafeteria, gym, hallways, and buses – to capture the reality of life as Middle School Student
WHAT? The purpose of this show is to examine the realities of students in a modern, twenty-first century middle school It seeks to examine different types of students - children with different interests, from different cultures and races, and different economic, and sociological environments. Because the show follows them throughout their day-to-day activities, it will give an accurate portrayal of their lives during the Middle School years It will explore triumphs, defeats, victories, fears, relationships, friendships and the school systems that students are asked to live and work in for a large part of their lives LIFE – All the Above.
