  2. When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”…

  3. “But you…who do you say that I am?” “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!”

  4. Jesus told Simon Peter that he was blessed to know the truth that Jesus was the Savior. Jesus explained to Simon Peter that God had helped him understand the truth. Jesus told Simon Peter that He would build the church upon the same truth. The church Jesus built would be strong. Nothing would be able to defeat the church Jesus built.

  5. You and I can tell others too! “You are the Messiah the Son of the living God!” Matthew 16:16
