  3. CREATE: Objective Three • Develop partnerships with Colleges and Universities. • Articulate Bachelor’s level transfer programs with all CREATE degree programs. • Make BS programs accessible to CREATE program graduates. CREATE CSUCI BSIT

  4. Goal: B.S. Information Technology • Compatible with CREATE A.S. degrees • Meet IT accreditation criteria • Follow national IT program guidelines CREATE CSUCI BSIT

  5. Program Overview A.S. Degree in: Computer Network Technology Computer Network Systems Electronics Technology Electromechanical Technology Etc. + 60 units of upper division coursework at CSUCI = B.S. in Information Technology CREATE CSUCI BSIT

  6. Lower Division Requirements (CC) • A.S. in one of the approved technology areas (Networking, Electronics, etc.) • A minimum of 30 technical elective units • CSU GE certification (including Title V) • A statistics course (in GE) • One semester lab science (in GE) CREATE CSUCI BSIT

  7. Upper Division Requirements (CSUCI) • IT Core Courses 25 units • Professional Courses 13 units • IT Elective Courses 15 units • Mathematics/Science Courses 7 units Total 60 units CREATE CSUCI BSIT

  10. IT Elective Courses • Students will select 15 units of IT elective courses. • Courses will be selected from two of the following areas to form intermediate and advanced level concentrations: • Computer Networks • Web Technology • Databases CREATE CSUCI BSIT
