Is he a good father? • Full of Generosity • V12 Known to his sons as such. • “Wisdom of the Righteous” – knows when to let go. • V22-23 Reflected in forgiveness. • V31 Philosophy of generosity. • Marked by richness, love, overflow.
Is he a good father? • Full of Goodness • V12 no resentment; no favouritism. • V13 tolerant, confident– if you have trained them good early in life. • V20 welcoming, affirming. Quick to forgive, slow to anger. • V23-24 Willing to do what is hard – to forgive and to celebrate. • V28 Reconciler, peacemaker, healer of hearts.
