Information Continued • Place of residence: Paris, France • Death: On April 19th, 1906, as he was crossing the Rue Dauphine in the rain at the Quai de Conti, he slipped and fell under a horse drawn carriage, he died instantly when one of the wheels ran over his head, and fractured his skull. • Map presenting the Rue Dauphine

Information continued • Special Events: Married Marie Skłodowska (Later Marie Curie), received Nobel Prize for Physics with his wife, Marie Curie, they had two children, Irène Joliot-Curie and Ève Curie, he made the first discovery of nuclear energy, by identifying the continuous emission of heat from radium particles.   5. Panthéon • After his death, he and his wife were enshrined in the Panthéon. Panthéon-Originally built as a church dedicated to St. Geneviene and to house the reliquary chasse containing her relics, but now serves as a mausoleum to house dead and distinguished French citizens.
