  3. What is the Dardanelles? • Narrow strip of water between Sea of Marmara and Constantinople • Key to defeating Turkey • To take Turkey, must take Gallipoli peninsula

  4. When did ANZAC troops land at Gallipoli? • April 25th 1915 • Still celebrated as ANZAC Day • [Australian and New Zealand Army Corps]
