Access to Controlled Medicines Programme • WHO Programme since 2007 • All controlled medicines: • Opioid analgesics (e.g. morphine) • Long-acting opioids for treatment of heroin dependence (e.g. methadone) • Other (anti-epileptics, anxyolitics, obstetric medicines) • Small team – volunteers and interns • Beyond October 2012 ?

  3. ATOME • Access to Opioid Medicines in Europe • Consortium of 10 partners • Legislation and policy review for access to opioids • Working with the countries • Now "national conference" to generate critical mass • Reports to MoHs in 2014
