  2. The word "Liturgy" in classic Greek means "a public service " it comes from:1. "Liaw," meaning "People." 2. "Ergia," meaning "work." الجــماعة العــمل

  3. The church used this term since the apostolic age, to cover all the worship which is officially organized by her, and which is offered by all her members, or on their behalf. Over time, this term has come to be particularly applied to the performance of the service of Eucharist.

  4. There are other liturgies as the liturgy of Baptism, liturgy of marriage etc.

  5. The Coptic liturgies are correlated to the church dogmas and doctrines. Liturgies' rites and texts instruct even children in simple ways about Church faith, her concepts and dogmas. Coptic liturgies clarify church dogmas without the need of any theological discussions, and at the same time gives genuine theological concepts that believers experience during their worship.

  13. The Commemoration Of The Saints ألــــمــــجـمــــع THE SAINTS AND THE BOND OF LOVE The Saints are dear brothers who have struggled like us and have departed to Paradise. They are not dead, but are sleeping, as our Lord said ”These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.“(John 11: 11) قال هذا وبعد ذلك قال لهم.لعازر حبيبنا قد نام.لكني اذهب لأوقظه And as St. Paul called them (I Thess. 4:13). “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” ثم لا اريد ان تجهلوا ايها الاخوة من جهة الراقدين لكي لا تحزنوا كالباقين الذين لا رجاء لهم.1 تس 4:13

  14. We are members of the militant church. The Saints in Paradise are the members of the victorious church الكـــنيسة المجاهـــــدة الكــنيسة المنتــــصرة The saints departed from earth, but did not leave the church; their love toward their brothers did not cease by their departure and dwelling in Paradise. Their prayers for the salvation of all the world never cease. They pray for us, and we venerate them as they are our holy and dear friends and family.

The Coptic divine Liturgy is a biblical teaching, very deep and very simple. • You can receive all the dogma Lessons without any teacher via all the rites, readings and the liturgy it self. • During the liturgy you pray and in the same time you receive lessons in the best school on the earth.
