  2. What is your attitude toward “this” technology (or lack thereof)? How are YOU using technology in the classroom? How has technology changed our students? How has technology changed our students’ attitudes toward learning?

  3. Classroom 2.0=Redefining Teaching

  4. Doing What’s Right For the Kids The Textbook is on its way out. Technology can’t be just a “fancier new tool for doing what we’ve always done.” We want a “learning community independent of time, space and place.” We don’t need training in HOW to work the technology, just show us what the technology can do for US. If you don’t have educational content, you have no podcast… “…No amount of sound effects, visuals, or music can hide a lack of content in an educational podcast.” Technology to Teach Literacy, 51.

  13. Group Challenge: Choose 2-3 uses of technology you are proud of. Briefly describe those uses on our Google document. Post initials AND grade level(s). Find 1-2 ideas from other grade-level teachers “out there.” Repeat step #2 and provide the website link/source citation.

  14. Step #1: www.google.com Enter the Collaborative Document… Google Documents Foster collaboration Very user-friendly Not too fancy…yet  Select “documents”

  15. Google Documents Step #2: Login/Create a gmail account. May also be used as a login for: Blogger Sites Reader (RSS reader) Google Chat YouTube www.google.com (“more” “even more”)

  16. Steps #4 & #5: Locate Document Step #5: Click on the title of the shared document you wish to edit. Step #4: Under “items by type” select “document.”

  17. Steps #6 & #7: Edit and Save Step #7: Save your changes and close so others can work! Step #6: Add your descriptions.
