Reflections on iConference 2013: Contributions, Programs, and Community Impact

The iConference 2013, held in Fort Worth, showcased various contributions from UNT Libraries, including keynotes and sponsorship of notable sessions. Participants included faculty, students, and information professionals who engaged in networking, presented valuable insights, and explored digital scholarship. The event featured a blend of programs, receptions, and unique activities like augmented reality games. Reflecting on the event, we consider its educational, economic, and community benefits, as well as the potential for future hosting opportunities, including the concept of DFW as a candidate for the 2024 Olympics.
