Theproposedmechanishmforthefilteringeffect is based on thenanoporousstructurewhichinduces a nanocapillaryeffectthatultimatelyenhancesthecatalyticactivity of Mgowhileincreasingthereactionsurfaceareabetweenthecontaminatedwaterandthecatalylstarea.
