  3. SEP and TAP Grant Status • KPPC CHP SEP contract became effective 4/14 • Finance Cabinet signed the contract the first week of April • GCRC will review the contract in May • SE CHP TAP funding process is ongoing • Status will be updated accordingly

March 11, 2014 Work group CHP 101 Presentation was given by the project partners which also outlined CHP benefits, case studies, and demonstrated a project screening example Some key barriers were identified by work group members including grid interconnection costs and financing The meeting was ended by kicking off the opportunity to sign up for service on individual sub-committees Meeting minutes and CHP 101 presentation are available on the DEDI website Comments from Steering Committee members in attendance?

CHP at the KAM energy conference Wednesday, May 14 1:30pm to 2:45pm “CHP in a Changing Energy Landscape” Bill Lunsford – Moderator This session will explore how combined heat and power can be helpful to provide energy capacity while meeting environmental, grid security, energy efficiency, and economic goals, especially in these times of changing technologies, fuel prices, and federal regulations. (If you have a presentation to share please submit to Bill Lunsford, Mary Breeding and Molly Sutherland by April 25th) 14

CHP At the kam energy conference Thursday, May 15 11:15am to 12:00pm “Moving CHP Forward in Kentucky” Greg Guess – Moderator This session will explore Kentucky’s partnership between the Energy and Environment Cabinet, Kentucky Association of Manufacturers, Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center, and the Southeast Center for CHP Technical Assistance Partnership. The presentations will describe how the program seeks to promote Combined Heat and Power and help businesses take advantage of this and will look at an existing case study.
