  7. CSUF Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 120 units (some degrees require more) *Courses CANNOT be taken from the major department for General Education

There is Nothing “General” About the CSUF General Education To build a comprehensive foundation of knowledge it is essential to earn 51units of General Education on the path to your degree from CSUF. Your 51 units of General Education will be built within the following Categories Core Competencies (9 units) Scientific Inquiry and Quantitative Reasoning (12 units) Arts and Humanities (12 units) Social Science (15 units) Lifelong Learning and Self Development (3 units) Z.* Cultural Diversity * Not an additional 3 units- this category is simultaneously satisfied with a course from C, D or E
