  1. Inescapable Judgment Revelation 6:12-17

  2. Revelation 6:12-17 “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place…”

  3. Revelation 6:12-17, cont… …“And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’”

  4. No Place To Hide • “Secret places” are not safe hiding places • Rev. 6:15; Lk. 8:17; Jer. 23:24

  5. Revelation 6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.

  6. Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.

  7. Jeremiah 23:24 “Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the LORD; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the LORD.

  8. No Place To Hide • “Secret places” are not safe hiding places • Rev. 6:15; Lk. 8:17; Jer. 23:24 • Darkness is not a safe hiding place • John 3:19-21; Isa. 29:15; 1 Cor. 4:5

  9. John 3:19-21 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

  10. Isaiah 29:15 Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD, And their works are in the dark; They say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?”

  11. 1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.

  12. No Place To Hide • “Secret places” are not safe hiding places • Rev. 6:15; Lk. 8:17; Jer. 23:24 • Darkness is not a safe hiding place • John 3:19-21; Isa. 29:15; 1 Cor. 4:5 • Ignorance is not a safe hiding place • Acts 17:30, 25-28; 3:17, 19, 22-23

  13. Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.

  14. Acts 17:25-28 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'

  15. Acts 3:17, 19 Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. (19) Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

  16. Acts 3:22-23 For Moses truly said to the fathers, 'The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23'And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.'

  17. No Place To Hide • “Secret places” are not safe hiding places • Rev. 6:15; Lk. 8:17; Jer. 23:24 • Darkness is not a safe hiding place • John 3:19-21; Isa. 29:15; 1 Cor. 4:5 • Ignorance is not a safe hiding place • Acts 17:30, 25-28; 3:17, 19, 22-23 • Death Will Not Be a Hiding Place • Rev. 6:16; Heb. 9:27; Jas. 4:14-15

  18. Revelation 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!”

  19. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.

  20. James 4:14-15 Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

  21. At Judgment, No works will be hidden "Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later. {25} Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden” (1 Timothy 5:24-25)
