  2. Project Aim: • To provide a first class Arts venue for Buckley and the surrounding area, accessible for use by community, amateur and professional organisations. Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project

  3. Background: • The original building work in 1954 provided excellent facilities • These were enhanced in 1997 • It is now time to further invest to prepare the facilities for the 21st century Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project

  4. Current use: • Local organisations and community groups • Amateur performance groups • Elfed High School and other educational establishments • Professional performance companies Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project

  5. Why Theatr Elfed? • A theatre at the heart of the local community • Already has the basis of an excellent facility. • Theatr Elfed is the only theatre of its size in the area; refurbishment is essential to meet the needs of current and future users, and to ensure that Buckley has first class arts facilities Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project

  6. Why Theatr Elfed? • Will support WAG Arts and Culture initiatives (1/2 hr per week) • Supported by Flintshire County Council Arts Strategy Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project

  7. Planned developments: • Improved access for all visitors, including those with mobility difficulties • Improved signage • Provide an environment more conducive to a night out Theatr Elfed Refurbishment Project
