  14. Transcript • Rebecca: Why did you guys decide to improvise and come up on stage right now? • Chico 1: To begin with, music is an art. We love music. More than anything, we do it for pleasure. We love music, we love to express ourselves, because that’s what music is about. • Rebecca: What do you want to share with people? • Chico 2: Energy. The energy of being happy. • Chico 1: There are many messages, and they are a little difficult to explain. For example to freely express yourself, which isn’t just writing on walls or being aggressive and those types of things. • Rebecca: Have you written any songs yourself? • Chico 2: Yes, but we haven’t recorded or sung them in front of anyone. • Rebecca: When did you guys start to sing together? • Chico 1: About six months ago. We would meet up at the university, and from there it began. • Rebecca: Was there any moment in particular when it all began? • Chico 1: No, it just began by talking about music. • Chico 2: No, not even that! It was just us wanting to go out to and make music in the streets. Just take your guitar and say ‘let’s make some music.’ • Rebecca: Have you ever gone out to a plaza and played music for money? • Chico 1: It’s not for money, its for the sheer pleasure of making music. • Rebecca: And what are your names? • Chico 1: Aula 74 • Rebecca: Oh, wow, well, many thanks for your time!
