Welcome Education Unit Meeting

  5. Dispositions • Please, please, please fill these out and give 1’s when appropriate • We do a disservice to our candidates if we do not catch negative dispositions early. • Several issues this semester might have been prevented if candidates had had a Unit Review

  6. SEI Course and Endorsement Information • Candidates in practicum spring or fall should take the course this coming spring • We can go back into ELAR aft July 1, 2014 to endorse for SEI • Graduate level—any candidate teaching in a district, even if they have a preliminary license MUST take the ESE SEI course—no exception (to date ) • If a candidate had an SEI endorsement of one kind, it will substitute for another kind, e.g., a candidate with a teacher SEI endorsement can be waived form taking the administrator SEI course in the EDLM program

  7. Meeting SEI Indicators • New PPA • Midpoint and final practicum evaluation • Will be getting a definitive answer whether or not candidates can meet these indicators during the SEI course
