Epiphany is Jan. 6, the traditional wisemen’s visit to Jesus (We will be talking about the wisemen, the first week of Jan.); Winter; Community; Safety (including fire, seat belts, personal); Community Helpers. THEMES: Pre - K Notes: We need a volunteer(s) to do some sewing (outside the class) for a craft project we will do later in Jan.. If you don’t sew, but could do some cutting, please let us know. We will be talking about our community, and the town and state we live in. We will also be talking about community helpers: police, firefighters, and others. We are going to Sultan Library for a field trip on Wed., Jan. 24. Chapel at 9:15, then class.Pick up or arrange transportation for your child from preschool at 10:50. Our field trip will be from 11:00 – 11:45 at the library. To check out a book, your child must have their own library card, or you may come at 11:30 to use your card. (Child cannot use adult’s without them present.) We have library card forms to fill out if you or your child don’t have a card. Turn it in to me by Jan. 12 to receive the card in time for the field trip. As part of our study of safety, we will be talking about fire safety, earthquakes, seat belts, strangers, train tracks,etc. Please talk to your child about personal safety: rules you have; strangers, seat belts, fire escape plan (with a place to meet J A N U A R Y MONDAY FRIDAY WEDNESDAY 5 3 Hillcrest Christian Preschool P.O.
