    4. This theme offers children the opportunity to see themselves as valued individuals within a community and to contribute to shaping a welcoming, safe and fair learning community for all. The theme explores feelings of happiness and excitement, sadness anxiety and fearfulness whilst learning and practising shared models for calming down and problem solving.     5. New Beginnings This theme potentially deals with very sensitive issues when focussing on feelings such as happy, sad and fearful. Essential to read the guidance on teaching sensitive and controversial issues: Guidance Appendix 3 page 45. Link with parents prior to teaching around any sensitive issues.
