  2. DO NOW!!! Kanesha was shopping at Concord Mills mall. She decided to go over to Forever 21. If she was walking at a speed of 1 m/s, how far would she have walked if it took her 90 seconds to get there? Chyna was chasing Destiney down the hallway one afternoon…it took 15 seconds for Chyna to catch her 75 meters down the hall. What was her speed? Brian was throwing up a tennis ball in the air. It took 2 seconds for the ball to reach a height of 18 meters. What was the ball’s velocity?

HINT: LOOK AT THE UNITS OF TIME!!!! DO THEY MATCH? IF NOT, YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THIS PROBLEM. 60 minutes = 1 hour D = ???? T = 5 minutes V= 45mi/hr North

  19. Acceleration Speed and direction can change with time. As velocity changes as the object, changes direction, so can the acceleration. ACCELERATION is the rate that velocity (speed + direction) change over time.
