CLASS RULES Be prompt, prepared, and complete all assignments ON TIME. Raise your hand before speaking; treat others and their property with respect. Do not interfere with others’ learning (keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself). Listen to directions and stay on task. Accept the consequences of CHOSEN behaviors. All cell phones MUST BE OFF (not on vibrate) AND NOT VISIBLE anytime you are within our classroom.
CONSEQUENCES • 1ST Offense: Verbal Warning • 2ND Offense: Lunch Detentiom • 3RD Offense: After-School Detention • 4TH Offense: Office Referral

Homework • Homework should be copied from board daily into the PACK planner. • It is also listed on my teacher web BUT the PACK planner is the source to check daily! Things may change and not get updated online. • Math assigned Monday – Friday. • Science assigned Monday-Thursday, but not daily • Expect 1 hour nightly. • Homework due the following day at 8:10 AM, unless otherwise stated.
GRADING • Grading Scale • 90-100% = A • 80-89% = B • 70-79% = C • 60-69% = D • Below 60% = F • Points are based on: • Class participation (effort) • Completion of assignments (class work, homework) • Projects, quizzes, and tests. • Grades are posted online (ESPRI) and updated every Thursday. • Late work will be updated when time allows • ESPRI
Grade First Aide • If your child receives lower than 70% on a MATH test, he/she may redo the missed problems to improve the grade. • This is your child’s responsibility to fill out the form, I will not remind the students after each test. • The form must also be signed by a parent in order to get credit.
ABSENCES • Regular attendance and timeliness is critical. • Check Teacher Web • All absent work will be located in the absent bin. • Students are responsible for making up all work. • Work is due back the Monday after the absence of days the child was absent. • If work is never turned in, it becomes a zero
MISSING ASSIGNMENTS Students should always first check the no name bin. All missing assignments are due the Tuesday following Thursday folders.

SUPPLIES • 1” three ring binder with dividers for math/science • 4 Composition books (on sale at target for .50cents) • Colored pens • Crayons/colored pencils • Scissors • Sharpened pencils • Highlighters: Yellow, Pink, Green, Orange • Dry erase markers • Post-it Notes • Loose notebook paper • 3x5 index cards (3 packs) • Several protective Sleeves • White glue, not glue sticks

Back to School Envelope • Inside the envelope you will find several documents to read over and sign. Please have all these returned as soon as possible but no later than Friday, August 10th. • What to Return: • Yellow Emergency Card Signed • 4 blue pages from the parent handbook, all signed • The PACK Planner acknowledgement form signed, this is the first page inside your child’s PACK planner • Return all these in the envelope provided!
