This document outlines the necessity for a standardized Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for packet data among operators. With the increasing volume of data exchanged for PD roaming, implementing a standardized TDS can enhance efficiency by enabling operators to complete a single TDS for all inter-operator communications. Key benefits include reduced errors during exchanges and preparation for future automation of TDS information. Immediate next steps involve gauging operator interest, drafting the Packet TDS, and presenting it at the upcoming IRT meeting.

Overview • There is currently an IRT Reference Document (#81) standard describing a voice Technical Data Sheet • It would be beneficial to have a standardized TDS for packet data
Benefits • Large amounts of data must be exchanged between operators to implement PD roaming. • A packet data TDS could: • Provide a standard format so that operators need only complete a single TDS to roam with all operators • Reduce errors introduced in exchange process • Prepare for automated exchange of TDS information in the future
Examples data required for exchange • IP Addresses of infrastructure elements • Realms and the treatment realms should receive • Security policies: which ports are required to be open for applications
Next Steps • Determine Operator Interest • Develop Packet TDS (draft uploaded on server to server as start) • Present PD TDS at next IRT Meeting • Consider TDS for Operator/CRX exchange • Consider a system to automate exchange of TDS information
