  3. Registration for Courses at UIO and HIOA Compulsory courses: As long as you are following the normal curriculum, you are automatically registered for Compulsory courses . If you are attending other courses or are delayed in your course of study, you have to sign up personally for the exam by using your student web.

  4. Optional courses: • You personally have to sign up for optional courses by using student web. • 18.08. Closing date for course application. The answer is published at the latest 22.08. • 23.08. 9 am: Begin application for courses with free capacity Courses in Informatics (offered in English) http://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/ifi/in-english.xml

  5. Everybody has to pay the semester fee to the University of Oslo. It means that you only pay the semester fee to the one of the institutions. • 01.09.Final deadline for application for courses with free capacity and payment of the semester fee

  6. 4th semester • Semsterregistration (both at UIO and HIOA) • INF5930NSA master thesis • Semesterfee should be paid to the UIO by February 1st • You will recieve the topic for your thesis on Monday January 16 • You will submitt the thesis on Monday May 21 You have only 17 weeks • Time and place of presentation or final exam is set by the supervisor and examiner in the examination period 1-23. June.

  7. How to submit • Requisition to Reprosentralen will be sent by the administration. You only need to deliver the thesis there (http://www.uio.no/english/services/print/index.html) in pdf format, by the deadline. You can do this by sending the thesis by e-mail to Reprosentralen (University Print Centre), or by meeting in person (with a CD, memory stick, ...). If you send thesis via email, set cc to the department (studieinfo@ifi.uio.no). If you deliver the document yourself, you should ask for a receipt and hand it in at the Department information desk, by 15:00. • Remember that you must pick up the thesis yourself when it is finished!

  8. How to submit 2 . deliver your printed thesis at the Department of Informatics, information desk 3.The Department covers up to 7 color pages per thesis. If you wish to print more pages than this in color, you have to cover the expenses yourself . Communicate this directly with Reprosentralen. Reprosentralen also needs information about which pages should be printed in color. You must also deliver the theis electronically in DUO. APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF STUDENT VISA For all confirmations you need regarding renewal of your student visa: Please address your request to the University of Oslo • EXTENDED PERIOD OF STUDYING If you at a certain point see that you might need an extension of your study period, please address a written request to the University of Oslo
