  3. Introduction This is an Assignment icon. Some instructors choose to use this tool as a way for students to upload assignments for grading.

  4. Assignments may be found directly on the Homepage OR inside a specific course section. Locating Assignment Tool In this tutorial the Assignments tool is inside the section for “Study Tools”, click to enter section.

  5. Assignments To enter Assignments, click on the icon.

  6. Assignment Overview The Assignment tool will list all Assignments, the availability period, grade and whether it has been submitted. To enter an assignment, click on the title.

  7. Inside there is information/directions specific to that assignment as well as the ability to upload your finished work. Assignment Sometimes an example of the assignment will be available, click to download and view.

  8. When saving a file to upload to the Assignment tool, use the extension name of “.rtf” or “.doc”. File Names

  9. Uploading To upload an assignment click the “Upload file” button.

  10. Uploading Select the “Browse…” button.

  11. Upload Locate the .rtf or .doc file, click once to select and click the “Open” button.

  12. Uploading Click the “Upload” button.

  13. To Submit, click the checkbox next to the file name and select the “Submit assignment” button. Submitting

  14. Submitting When prompted, confirm the submission.

  15. Assignments WebCT will indicate success of the submission.

  16. Grade To view an assignment grade enter the Assignments section of the course.

  17. Grade To review assignment comments (if applicable) click on the “Graded” text link.

  18. If the assignment file has been edited with additional comments there will be a link for the file in the section under “Graded Files”, click the title to download. Grade
