This health project explores the increasing abuse of Ritalin, a Schedule II narcotic commonly prescribed for ADHD. Known to teenagers as "Kiddie Cocaine," Ritalin is taken for its stimulant effects, boosting focus and energy. However, misuse leads to serious consequences, including increased heart rate, dangerous behavior, and long-term damage to vital organs. With alarming statistics showing an 80% increase in Ritalin use over six years and rising emergency room visits, awareness and education about its risks are crucial for safeguarding youth.
