  4. SOF Purpose To provide information about the mission, functions and organization of the DCS, G-8, and an overview of the USASOC Combat Developments process.

  5. SOF DCS, G-8 Mission Plan, develop, field, evaluate, and manage ARSOF’s force management and materiel programs for integration with the U.S. Army and USSOCOM.

SOF Combat Developments Division Functions • Develop and Manage USASOC Acquisition Programs in concert with HQDA, AMC, and USSOCOM • As User Representative, Develop and Defend MNSs and ORDs; Review Externally Developed MNSs and ORDs as the Command SME • Integrate ARSOF Requirements into Army and USSOCOM Modernization Processes; Manage USASOC Technology Transfer Program • Plan, Coordinate, and Manage Total Package Fielding of Army Common and SOF Peculiar Equipment
