  4. Mission • Protect Army property and real estate from damage • Reduce health and environmental risks associated with pesticides (IPM) • Support stewardship of natural, cultural and historic resources • Safeguard Army personnel from injury and disease

IMCOM Support Demographics CURRENTLY AEC is directly responsible for technical program support: • 107 installations under IMCOM: • 796 million square feet of buildings • 133 airfields • 15+ million acres of land • 2,981 miles of railroad bed • 124,025 family housing units • 152 Child Development Centers

Pest Management Services • Provide professional oversight of program goals and objectives • Approve all installation pesticide use • Certify personnel as pesticide applicators and accreditation of Pest Management Quality Assurance Evaluators (PMQAEs) and IPMCs • Approve integrated pest management plans for conformance to program standards and pesticide use • Approve pest management contracts • Approve Aerial Statement of Need project (ASSON) • Pest Management Program Assistance Visits (PMPAVs) • EPAS assessments and protocol guidance • Demonstration projects (BMPs and latest P2 control technologies)
